Taniwha/Dragon Drawing

Going back to my cultural heritage with this one, the Taniwha can be characterized as a dragon but they do take many other forms. For the most part this is just a straight up dragon drawing with a couple features that add a Taniwha aspect to it, such as the row of spines down the back and the ears, which are traditionally how the eyes are portrayed.

I definitely plan on exploring this creature more in the future, need to go deep with that shit.

Not to sure when or why I did this turtle drawing, I kind of like the simplicity of it and the fact that I used a little colour, something a lot of my drawings don't have.

This is quite an early drawing of mine, probably done around 1998. It was mostly an exercise in drawing teeth, the beast/monster came later, there's something really satisfying about drawing a nice set of teeth, especially when they're as savage as these.

There are many conspiracy theories about the dark side of the moon, one I have read about is that it's a giant ancient spaceship, so I went and drew the moon with some rocket boosters.
